An Ideal Man

An Ideal Man

He is not a perfect man, for no one is blemish free
But in the dark expanses of the night
His presence gives a strong feeling of security.
Forces combine in order to destroy, but the Ideal Man
Will stand for what’s right.

He seeks understanding in all he does
Not afraid to express his emotions.
Willing to listen and not just talk
He’s calm, considerate and caring.

Though he may blow his top at times
He would not dare to abuse another.
The Ideal Man is not afraid
To apologize for his mistakes…
And if he is, he does so anyway.

He’s one to do his best to keep his word
Realizing that he role-models life for those who come behind him
And his peers.

He knows when to fight and when to walk away.
He’s hardworking and smart-working, and able to have fun.
He has a sense that is more than common.

The Ideal Man knows when to lead and when to follow
He never disrespects another person’s rights.
He seeks the truth and doesn’t proliferate lies.
The Ideal Man doesn’t strip down and take selfishly
But gives and puts his life on the line.

He tells his darling of his love everyday
Not just with words, but mostly by his actions.
Most of all, he is aware of the growing importance of
Having a strong relationship with God.
For without Him, the Ideal Man would and could not exist.

This Ideal Man is possible
If only men who read this change for the ones they love
But most importantly… for themselves.
